Iphone 5 already on its way?

I these iPhone 4 issues are massively blown out of proportion. I'm still on the 4.0 firmware and keep forgetting to update, because I don't need to, everything just works. No dropped calls or loss of signal, etc. In fact my gf uses a 3G on the same network and she has far more issues than I do (I don't have any issues so far luckily).

I doubt there will be a new iPhone so soon as I don't really see the point.

It is most definately NOT out of proportion, the antenna issue is related to exactly WHERE you are in relation to the mobile phone towers, if you have a poor signal (many people do) it WILL affect you.

This is true... however it can be seen for many different handsets and is not isolated with the iPhone 4

although other handsets have similar problems they dont tend to have it on a part that everyone touches/holds. ive had a few call drops with mine but only in areas with very low signal

Sorry, but that is my own opinion and experience of the device. I've had a 3G, 3GS and 4G and so far the worst out of the lot has been the 3G. My gf can also vouch for this. It IS blown out of proportion when you consider that other phones also suffer from this signal issue (albeit in a less obvious way), I know my desire had its no signal issues (I'm yet to see the no network message on the 4G).

I'm currently sitting here with 5 bars on 3G so I'm happy. It may be an issue for some people, but not for me nor the majority of owners for that matter and to quote your former sig robbo, iNon-Issue (if I remember right lol).

My old sig was sarcasm :p

I understand what you mean, but as stated it depends entirely on where you are, for someone in a strong signal area nearly all of the time, it is a non-issue.

For someone who might be in varying signal areas, it could be an annoyance.

I just dont think it should be dismissed out of hand by people who dont experience it, others might (and do).

I agree that this is a situational or locational or may be network problem which is falsely associated with iPhone 4, It is not fair to blame the product for this.
About the iPhone 5 I would say, January is too early for a new appropriate, perfected device to come, R & D is a time taking process and it cannot happen over night, so I am sure it’s a rumor too.

cool, my contract for my 3gs runs out in february :)

LOL you honestly think that there is going to be a new iphone out by Feb??...seriously do people not read the thread??.

There isnt and wont be any new iphones out in Feb FACT....the next iphone will be in July time as per usual.

Not the first time someone in this thread mentioned they will hold onto it until June. Calm down. :p
