Maybe so, there's no denying the likes of the iPhone 4/4S and HTC One S (metal) feel more premium, but Samsung like to keep the weight down and keep it durable, which it is.
If the aesthetics are the most important thing then it's not going to suit everyone, but you can't just dismiss it as rubbish, because if you consider the other features, it's actually rather excellent, and there's a reason a lot of iPhone users seem to be jumping ship.
Apple have to do a great job with the iPhone 5, not just with the hardware but with the software too. If iOS 6 doesn't have anything more than we've seen, and the design doesn't look particularly great (the leaks seem to divide opinion) then they might find themselves in a spot of bother. However, if they nail all the features I outlined in the opening post, most importantly the larger screen and greatly improve the battery life, most people will be happy.
No confirmations, it's just a rumour.
Slimmer and great battery life don't really mix. I don't think phones need to be slimmer if it comes at that sort of cost. Battery technology is fairly poor at the moment, in comparison to everything else.

I agree, I'd rather have a bit more thickness (8-9mm is hardly thick anyway) and have a bigger battery.
Unless they've managed to sneak some new battery technology in under the radar... hope so.

Nothing official, but as well as the reports of a Sept. release I've been told something that I unfortunately can't share, so you'll have to take my word for it.
I'd say it's 99% certain.
Spigen aren't your 'average' phone case manufacturer (though they do cite the pictures they have as the mock-up we've seen before). They must have other information though, so I'd say the leaked design is looking extremely likely.

The only person you're trying to convince is yourself. We get it, your parents won't buy you the new iPhone, therefore it's not actually very good.
Jimz you can't possibly comment on this without knowing what the new iPhone will contain. And no one knows. So there's no point in discussing whether or not the next phone will be a worthy upgrade.

That's the thing though, he'll say it no matter what it contains as he has to convince himself not to get one as he can't/isn't allowed.
It's painfully obvious, strange behaviour.
I doubt anyone upgrades for the processor alone, it's just a bonus. The better the architecture, the better the performance, and the more efficient the power usage. It actually makes a bigger impact on the battery life than people think.
Why don't you address some points instead of spouting repeated nonsense? Oh yeah, because you can't.
