Hi all,

I've been with Orange for the past 5/6 years but just finished my contract with them and have decided not to renew due to very poor signal coverage. They are going to send me my PAC code which I should receive in the next few days.

I'm keen on getting an iPhone 3GS and am wondering if there are any better deals about than the standard tarriffs offered by O2. I want the £35 tarriff on the 18 month contract but don't fancy paying £185 for the phone on top of that. The phone is only £87 with the 24 month contract but I don't fancy having to keep the same phone for two years!

Cheers.

if you go on the £45/month tarrif then reduce it to the £35/month tarrif after 9 months, this normally works out best.

I.E 45 * 9 + 9 * 35 + 87 (cost of phone) = £809
OR
35*18 + 187 = £817

Not much difference, but a little and you dont have to shell out a load of money in one go.

also, it may be worth waiting untill the end of Janurary, as there are suppose to be some ace Android phones coming out.

The problem with android thus far is the lack of good specc'd phones. I have the HTC hero, which is supposed to be one of the better ones, however its not that great. I am hoping some snapdragon friends come along and kick ass.

vodafone are offering the best tariffs IMO. unlimited texts being the highlight

february/april seems to be the dates for the next bunch of android phones
