Well it didnt take long for a 3rd party company to call me offering a "cheaper" version of the insurance I took out with my iphone.

Took me a good few minutes to get out of them that they were not calling from the company I took out my insurance with in the first place even though they claimed their insurance policy price had been reduced since I got my insurance.

"Could you just tell me your details so I can confirm them with the ones I have on screen."

Yeah, nice try at some data capture love, nice try.

Be warned, they are calling all iPhone customers and its not the same company so the cover may not be the same.

ok, the next person to get a call off these guys needs to get some more information out of them. I want to report these guys to trading standards for the conversation that just had with my bro:

Bro: "I appreciate that you're a legitimate company, but could you remove me from your database and never call me again"

Bint: "As you've been rude to me (wtf?) I'm going to call this number all the time" <click>

She gave me this website yesterday; http://www.time-2-cover.co.uk/ when I started to dig, we need a phone number to call them back if possible.

Its probably not CPW Rob. After speaking to o2 about it there is a national database of registered phone that companies can pay to view. Any company can get their eyes on this list and they are just pishing for information.

Dodgy company a) calls you and says that you got the £12 cover. You confirm it and they go in for the attack trying to sell you a cheaper deal. If you deny it, they say oh ok, we'll cancel that and hang up, and try the next guy in their list.

Just go here and put your home+mobile numbers in, companies are required by law to remove these numbers from their calling lists before they make calls.

It'll take a month or so, but they'll stop eventually.

Well neither my brother nor I ticked the boxes saying we want partner calls nor do we want our information passed to partners, and we're still getting the calls.

Anyone can say they're partners of CPW, whether they actually are or not is another matter.
