iphone or HTC touch HD?

My old phone screen has just died and i am over due for an update anyway and after seeing my mates iphone i was like WoW i want one and got my PAC code to leave orange to get one, but then my sisters bf turned up with a HTC touch HD and that looked quite sweet as well and looking a reviews etc i cant decide.

which phone would you all go for?
 
They are both good phones. Had to make the same decision and chose the iphone, mainly because it worked out much cheaper for me although I preferred the touch hd, which is really, a better phone. Having used the iphone for a few months I like it a bit more than in the beginning, mostly because of the wealth of apps constantly being developed and easily available via the appstore.

But the touch hd is still a better phone.
 
are u kidding??? Touch HD hands down between those 2... the iphone is a POS....

Touch HD superior in every way imaginable unless u r a girl or cant figure out how to use an advanced phone...

HTC also has xda-developers.... enormous support with custom made OS's etc....

or wait for HTC diamond 2 coming out in a few weeks...

What annoys me about the Winmo phones is that you have to resort to a custom rom to get the best out of. Ive got a Touch Dual and have to flash it to 6.1 to stop me having to reboot it daily. There is no official 6.1 rom from T-mobile, so ive had to go down the xda forum route to fix it.

If MS had actually got there act together and sorted out Winmo they'd be onto a winner. AS posted on one of the rom makers site, "MS and HTC have said about XDA developers site, cant live with XDA, cant live with out em".
Basically they are saying if it wasnt for XDA then Winmo would be dead.

I'm probably going to go for Iphone when i renew, just want a phone that will talk to exchange server and surf the web. Dont need a turn by turn gps since i have a proper satnav for the car and dont wont to be endlessly flashing roms just to get the thing how i want it.
