after searching for most of this forum I realise that whilst the iphone and touch are similar products (use the same software) they are subtle differences (main one being lack of 3G use) ie you need to be wifi connected.

I thought wouldn't if be great if I could find a thread which had the latest info on the touch and perhaps great apps which are touch specific, problems specific to the touch, or even just what case to use or what third party hardware works best with the touch.

So I'd thought I'd create a thread for us touch only users to share our passion for this great piece of kit. (I've still got 1 week to wait for mine :eek: however.)

Update : I'm on page 7 of the 16 page iphone thread and already have well over 70 apps listed 3 pages of A4 so far.

Yes but some apps are only useful if you have 3G.

Be nice to have a nice list with all the bits and bobs taken out.
 
I'm still working on this.

Got my conformation that my order is being shipped today.

32GB of itouch goodness.

Should be in my hands monday evening.

Just looked on the Apple.be store and it seems most of the apps mentioned in the software thread cost 3.99-5.99 a bit more expensive than the 59p which is strange as itunes has a good £/€ rate.
 
Wow just signed up for itunes belgium man it's lacking. No music videos. Infact no videos at all.

I tried the UK site and I can't even register my UK bank cards as they all have belgian addresses and the system knows it. :(

I thought we were all one in Europe but you should see the Belgian site it's pathetic. The only podcasts it offers are in French and Dutch none from BBC etc.

I'm sure it's not apple's fault but really the US has one licence for goods and the EU should be the same companies should not be allowed to choose different shops for different countries in europe.

Why can't I buy the itunes service from my home country my country of birth and my country of origin where I was born and raised for 23 of my 36 years?

I'm writing to Griffin.... lol
 
Why do you live in Belgium? I worked there for a year, and it is snoozeville compared to the UK...
 
Picked up a 32gig yesterday.

Bought an incase slider for it today (that backplate almost sucks moisture out of your hands !) and it seems a great little case, love the rubberised feel.

Can anyone recommend a screen protector ?

Also are there any Peggle support groups ? I need help.
 
I can vouch for the Zagg InvisibleSHIELDS. Had one on my Touch 1G from release until I got rid of it the other day, never let me down once. Got one straight away for my new shiny 32GB Touch 3G.
 
yes i too have a shield on my touch 1G, cannot decide between a 64gb touch 3g or a 32gb iphone 3gs, could pick up either on hols in america later this year.

save about 40 quid on touch and about 110 on iphone. advice?
 
that's the route i'm going down asked someone to get my a 50 quid one and just scratch the code and give it to me down the phone.

So crazy we have to take these measures. The EU fines MS millions for monopoly but still allows TV/broadcasters to carve up the EU into sections and limit purchasing to each country.

I don't blame Apple it's the copyright law in Europe which needs to be completely revised since we now we should have free movement of goods and services.
