Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier UK Tour 2011

It won't be. They have already said the set list change from that of the US tour and will be a mix of more of the new album, recent stuff and classics.

I hope you're right, because there's a lot of opportunities to go to the 'bar' if it is the same as the US setlist!

Trouble with Maiden is that if you don't particularly like a song, you've got a good 7 or 8 minutes of it to put up with!

I really want to try and go and see them in Nottingham but I haven't got the spare cash to book a ticket yet :( It would be great if I could though as it would be the very first time that I have ever saw Maiden, had so many oppitunities to go with mates during the 2005 & Download 2007 tours but in the end they all pulled out so I had no form of transport :/

I'm really hopiing that their are still some tickets left before the new year as I would love to go, we will see.

With regards to the UK setlist I have heard that they will be mainly playing stuff from the new album and also the rest will be mostly be the albums from 2000 and onwards, with 2 or 3 of the "classics" as well which will probs consist of FOTD, NOTB & Iron Maiden.

That's similar to what I've read, which doesn't sound good to me. I haven't really liked that much at all over the last 10-15 years!! Don't get me wrong, I love bands developing & playing new stuff - but if it doesn't float your boat, then it just doesn't float your boat.

I've long left the old fan idea that you may force yourself to like new stuff just because you're a 'fan'. If it ain't that good, then it really may not be for you.

Shame really, because Maiden used to be rock gods!

Awesome, looks like it's pretty easy to get through livenation, know a few other folk here at work that picked up some this morning too. Ah well, I only paid £2.50 more per ticket with the fanclub. No big deal for peace of mind! :)

I actually got them yesterday via o2 blueroom. They were on sale on their from Yesterday morning rather than having to wait until this morning.

Pretty sure I read an interview with bruce and he clearly said that lots of people didn't like the setlist on the last tour as it alienated a lot of their fans (only playing new stuff) - so he said they will be playing more classics this tour.

I'm happy with that personally. Not that I don't like their new stuff - its still great, but its *different*. Prefer classic Maiden much more.

Sheffield
Manchester
Nottingham
Standing - ALL SOLD (Unless you want to pay silly prices on getmein.com)

They have announced a second London 02 date on Sat 6th August. Will be the final show of the tour, so maybe will have some more classics in :)

Bought a ticket for final show!

EDIT: Wow, it seems all standing tickets at every event have sold. (Apart from expensive sites)

If it's similar to the US setlist - which it probably will be, then I don't know if I can be bothered:

01. The Wicker Man
02. The Ghost Of The Navigator
03. Brighter Than A Thousand Suns
04. El Dorado
05. Paschendale
06. The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg
07. These Colours Don't Run
08. Blood Brothers
09. Wildest Dreams
10. No More Lies
11. Brave New World
12. Fear Of The Dark
13. Iron Maiden

Encore:
14. The Number Of the Beast
15. Hallowed Be Thy Name
16. Running Free

:(

That's similar to the setlist the did at Sonisphere 2010. The did Wrathchild instead of Brighter Than A Thousand Suns.

Was 103% AWESOME though. Never failed to disappoint! :)

The more I thought about it, the less I wanted to shell out £45 to to see Maiden again. Great shows, I know, but I can't help but feel like they've been neglecting their UK fanbase for years (I was particularly disappointed when they only did one show a couple years back) - so decided to skip this tour - not that they give a ****, they have so few shows on that they'll be sold out by now, I imagine.

Wooooo another chance to see Run To The Hills, or Bring Your Daughter... It's not like we haven't seen them 3,000 times over the past 2 decades? lol.

Ive only seen Maiden once live... They played run to the hills but Id rather them play stuff like Can I play with Madness or Wasted Years.

They've played that stuff plenty of times when I watched them on DVD's but its clearly not the same as seeing them in person.

Yep. I'd be happy if I never heard NOTB, RTTH etc ever again.

It the only thing that I think Maiden are very bad at at poor, repeatative, unadventurous setlists. Playing the whole album on the last tour was the best thing they've done in years.
