Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier UK Tour 2011

O2 next Friday.

Not looking forward to it as much as I was now I've seen the setlist.

Wot, no Trooper? That's Maiden's problem - too many songs :D

I think AC/DC have it right - keep releasing mediocre albums year after year, but when it comes to concerts, play the stuff the majority of the fans want to hear.

I saw them in Glasgow last week and they played The Trooper.

Do you happen to know the full set list ?

Setlist was as follows:

Satellite 15... The Final Frontier
El Dorado
2 Minutes to Midnight
The Talisman
Coming Home
Dance of Death
The Trooper
The Wicker Man
Blood Brothers
When the Wild Wind Blows
The Evil That Men Do
Fear of the Dark
Iron Maiden
Encore:
The Number of the Beast
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Running Free

Went last night to Nottingham with R0b75. Awesome. First Iron Maiden gig I have been to although I did have a chance when I was about 15 to go to see them in Derby. Nice and compact, sounded great and they still have the energy, for how long I do not know :-)

Recommended.

Awsome cheers, am very happy with that :D

Saw them in Aberdeen AECC last Thursday. They played identical setlist to Glasgow SECC and the one above, it was awesome! Was standing front/centre right beside a huge mosh pit/circle of death. Was painful, but so much fun! Anyone still to go is in for an amazing gig. :) I would have loved Run to the Hills, but enough of the old stuff was played to keep me very, very happy. :)

The Trooper, Number of the Beast and in particular Hallowed be thy name were the definite stand out moments!

No Run To The Hills ??

Went to Nottingham last night and it was my first time, wow... just totally incredible!

Cannot believe how good the band sounded, they sound excellent live! It was also a really good loud atmosphere and to really experience the real live Maiden experience is awsome :)

I was very happy with the setlist indeed. From what I have gathered, the tour setlist has been the same throughout for all of the shows worldwide. However, the London gigs and them being the last 2 ones on the tour, they may change the setlist around slightly as this is what I have noticed previously when they have played London shows in recent years, but who knows.

I only saw the last 15 minutes of Airbourne who were the openers for Maiden, but they sounded excellent too and I could easily get into them too. I will be looking into listening to some of their material soon too.

Overall, Fantastic performance, great atmosphere - 100/10. I cannot wait until the next tour is announced and UK dates as I will be ordering my next ticket as soon as UK dates are announced (though I don't think this will be for another 18 months yet!).

Liam
