Is a reg plate lamp part of a bike MOT?

Im pretty sure its a legal requirement but Ive read in various places thats its not an MOT requirement for bikes. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes it is. Only mopeds limited to 30mph don't need a numberplate light.

So point 2, when you de-restrict a 50 you also have to fit a numberplate light for it to be legal...

Reckon im likely to get away with a 3 or 5 LED one? I currently dont have one fitted at all, I can either fit an LED one tonight, or bodge a small car one ive got lying about.

If you dont have a light all you can get is a Daylight MOT which is basically as it says you can only ride in daylight lol
