Is a Spring Onion eternal ?

If I keep feeding the shoots with roots water & sunlight will they eternally keep sprouting fresh green bits to eat or will it give up at some point in time ?

Don't cut them back too much when trimming. Leave some to collect light for energy.

I'm leaving about an inch from roots to shoot, it's interesting how the thin shoots grow slower than the thicc ones

It will flower even when being cut as it grows ?

I've never seen a spring onion flower or seed so that will be interesting
