EDIT: Asim your mother is probably just feeling down ask her how she is. Don't be off with her, if it wasn't for her, you wouldn't be here. So sit back and appreciate for once instead of being a stroppy teenager. Don't take offence, nicest way I could have put it. If you think she's taking too much control of you, that's what mothers do. They (Well some) do want what's best for their kids.

Regarding the £20. Just give her it, probably wanted it but had second thoughts.
