Is ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3 as good as it gets in price/performance wise?

Having had both the Asus and Gigabyte boards I can give you more than conjecture; the Asus overclocks better (possible to use LLC and offset at the same time, not so on the Gigabyte, this is the best combination for stable voltage and better overclocking), is more stable and has lower temperatures (~5c)
If a motherboard is going to die it will most likely do so in the first year, in which case you can take your warranty up with the reseller.
Cheaper is always good.

No retailer will do anything unless you chase them about it after 28 days has past, that is what trading standards deem enough time for hardware RMA to be processed.

Asus take 6+ weeks if you just wait via any retailer and thats if you are lucky.

SO you are saying to for asus as its overall better?
