Is Bi-Amping Snake-oil?

So my eye has been turned towards a new shiny, shiny poweramp (Arcam p35) to match my existing A32. My logical side thinks that this “may” provide a very small improvement, which my 50 year old ears would be unable to hear. Has anyone done anything similar to this?

I thought I would report back. I have added an Arcam P25 power amp to my system and I must say I am happy with the difference it has made. It's difficult to describe, but the only way I can think of is to describe it as more “effortless”.

Definitely no confirmation bias, even my wife agrees. On another note I’m sending back an Arcam ST60 because I can’ t tell the difference between that and my Sonos connect. I really wanted to like that bit of kit.
