Is Britain becoming overrun by the Qashqai?

Nissan seem to be quietly getting huge.

Every other car in the US is a Nissan Altima, and I'd know as I own one - it's getting ridiculous when you can park up in the supermarket and be next to three other altimas in a row.

Anyone know why the Altima isn't sold in the UK?

The other thing as said above is that the amount of kit you get on them is really good in comparison to the competition. Check out the tekna variant. Nav, leather, no key, heat seats, reverse camera, panoramic room etc etc etc. pretty loaded.

+1 Motability Scheme - bare in mind it's the largest purchaser/lease company in the UK - so any firm with a new design wanting to flood the roads will offer their entry level vehicles with £0 initial deposit and for the higher spec (Tekna +2) being a very reasonable £450 for 3 years worth of worry-free motoring. Another popular (albeit dearer) choice seems to be the Hyundai Santa Fe and the KIA Sportage (poor people's Range Rovers!)
Volvo did a similar thng with the release of the XC60 - D5 R-Design SE 2 years ago was £950 advance payment, when I needed to replace my S40 1.6 R-Design with a larger automatic, I wanted the above XC60, but the AP had risen to £7995!!! So I went for the 2.0l (167) Galaxy Ti X Auto, for £2700.

Without the Motability scheme, many people would not be able to afford to be on the road, with a reliable car. Bare in mind their Disability Living Allowance (Mobility) at £220 per month covers the lease of the car, all service costs, fully comp insurance for 2 named drivers, tyres and top-ups at Kwik-Fit AND tax.
There's no way I'd be driving a £45,000 motor without the scheme - it's brilliant. And now they've capped the AP at £2000 and limited drivers to those living within 5 miles of the keeper, it reduces those abusing the system by using Nana's mobility allowance to fund the Range Rovers & Q7s...

see. Once you know, you cannot help but spot them.
my girlfriend is growing weary of my random gaps in conversation to shout 'Juke!' or 'Quashqai!' on every journey.

glad I have spoiled driving for you Overlag :p

They are nice cars, cheap and have a good level of equiptment.

My wife wanted one so we got her one.

It has bluetooth, dual zone climate, auto lights / wipers, 4x4 mode, parking sensors and bouncy seats!

It is a girly car which has so far prooved reliable and economical.
Dunlop tyres for the thing only cost £100 ish a corner, servicing is cheap and good on fuel. Its also got a quiet cabin.
