Today has the best combination of films worth watching on telly I can remember for years, better than most Christmas and Boxing Day viewing over the last decade.

Gremlins 2, Young Guns 2, Wedding Crashers, US Marshalls, and Tombstone: all in one day, and a flippin' Sunday to boot!

Does this herald a return to decent telly? Will there soon be new and watchable series coming along? :)

Wedding crashers? Good tv!?!?! I don't want to see whatever you think is bad tv xD.
Although gremlins is pretty cool :P

No public holiday - although it is Holocaust Memorial Day and also Sexagesima(?)

'Australia Day' holiday tomorrow (in Australia).

Lost series 4 starts next week :)

The format of Lost has failed!

Series 1-3 was 23 episodes in 2 segments with christmas in the middle

Series 4-6 (yes, theres still 3 to go) is what was planned to be series 4 and 5, but has been shortened to 16 episodes a series, over 3 series, one a year untill 2010. So the massive clifhanger ending we would expect at the end of series 4 will now be in the middle of series 5, with the end of series 4 likely to be a bit droll. plus we only get 16 weeks of lost a year!

Still, lost is awsome!

Well wouldn't it be a Prison Break series already shown in the US? And we are a few months behind them? So if the PB series was written/filmed/screened in the US before the strikes, there's no problem with it being screened over here.
