so, my old comp, fx6300, 660gt one was failing to boot up, wouldnt power on properly. if you unpluged then kept retrying eventually it would and once running it was rock solid. passed most bits to nephew and it did the same. so i swapped the mobo and boom it booted, seemed working fine.

Its now doing the same thing again so, im thinking it must be the psu right? its a corsair cx430 bought 2013 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cors...nze-power-supply-cp-9020046-uk-ca-059-cs.html

so could it be the psu thats the prob and if so, anyone suggest a replacement one?

Make sure the power switch on your case hasn't just worn out. That is reasonably common. :)

For a quick test you can swap it for the reset switch and use that. (The switches are the same)
If it powers up, you know your case power switch is worn out.
