Hi there,

Thinking of getting myself something sporty, convertible and rear wheel drive for the weekend, as I am now able to get rid of my Mondeo, which I used to need for work.

The only thing is, is that I don't intend using the convertible that much during winter/spring etc, as I'll be able to use my GF's car. Convertible would be tucked up in the garage. I would however need to take the car out once every 1-2 months to stop it seizing up. I don't want to have to pay £70 a month insurance when I'll hardly be using it.

Are there any companies which will do insurance for a day or weekend, or would this work out just as expensive as insuring the car full time?

Cheers

My mum looked into a similar policy for me to drive her car during uni holidays.
I believe her insurer offers a 30-day policy (not specifically 30 consecutive days) and you have to phone and let them know which days you will be using it in advance.

why not just get a normal full time policy and limit the miles on it to 3-4k or whatever suits, that usually has a big influence on a quote.
