Is it possible to hook a desktop to a laptop screen?

I know that you can hook your laptop up to your desktop or other monitor, but can it be done the other way round?

Reason i'm asking is that i have a small 15" TFT (1024x768) for my desktop, and my laptop screen is 15.4" (1280x800) and would like the change, as the laptop screen is much better quality that my 3 year old one im using now.

Hi,

I don't think you can unless your laptop is running and has some form of video input. I think from memory that laptop screens don't have in essence a DVI or Dsub connector they use special connectors straight into the video card/mobo.
