Evening all,

I didn't do my research properly before buying my car, It turns out that there are two different tax prices for my car based on the year it was registered..

As seen here >> http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/road-tax/?deriv=16882

Is it possible to re-register the car so that I can pay the lower tax amount per year ?

I think its an absolute pee take that I should have to pay more for something just because it was made a few years before the new legislation..

Ta.

Tell you what, you give me the woofer blue(:p) 306 (for free), and you go out and buy a manly coloured one, that's post March 01. :p

Cheeky bugger.

This is coming from someone who drives ( Or used to ;) ) a more woofty coloured 205 :p

Diable Red was my first choice.. But was taking too long to find :o

Thats what I meant, given that they are the same basic engine. Anyway, simple enough mod to the 90 variant to allow you to get more power from it :)

Even more reason to let me have the 306, it's a similar colour to my old car so it'll go well with me, and you can get a red one. :D

Were you at the last RR? I only really remember a few people. :)

As for intercooler, why not really, see how much you can get out of it, after all it is a relatively slow diesel...but not as bad as the L reg nonturbo I owned.

It doesn't look too much of a sod to do, Although its a bit tight working on some parts of the engine around the back,

Two guys over at TDCiforum.co.uk have done the mod, one of them runs 150bhp , 130 would be plenty for me :)

You've never met me before sorry :p Bringing my old nail of a Peugeot 205 5 door to a OcUK meet would have been the height of embarassment for me lol,

I turned up in mine. :D

I'm not sure about the HDi lump as I've only played with the nonturbo ph1 diesel lump, but there was a fair amount of space, although ideally you need to take everything out/apart including front bumper etc.

I know when I did an engine swap life would have been so much easier if I'd bothered to take the bumper, slam pannel etc. off. Instead I took the engine out the top of the car with loads of effort. I know you wouldn't be taking the engine out, but point is for working space, I'd take the car apart if it looks to be a pig as-is :)

There is much less space IMO, most of the front end needs to come off to fit the intercooler, and then getting the pipework round the various parts of the engine becomes a ball ache.. :)
