Our risible Foreign Secretary appears to have over-egged what he was told by the UK's Porton Down laboratory. (BBC Link)

Is it time for Theresa May to allow Bonker Boris to spend more time with his family?

He should never have been foreign secretary, the loveable buffoon might wash with the unwashed but on a global stage it just makes us look like a nation of fools and undermines us in serious debate.

He should never have been put in that position of power in the first place . My late Grandmother who had schizophrenia and dementia would have been less likely to say crap he does

In relation to the current comments from Corbyn, no. Agree with the sentiment that he should be given no position of responsibility in any aspect of life though.

Corbyn's comments are misjudged. Porton Down has said they can't confirm the source of the nerve agent, not the type. So where has the military-grade, Russian-developed nerve agent used to poison a Russian spy come from? Hmm, I wonder.

Should never have been appointed, he was ok as London mayor as its relatively harmless but foreign secretary is a ridiculous position for someone who puts his foot in it every time he opens his mouth.

To be honest, it's time for the upper teams of both main parties to resign and leave politics.

They won't, but it is what is needed.

Rarely keep up with our politics. Find it quite petty really. The Tony Blair years(apart from Iraq) were good times and fun politics. I thought TM was resigning soon?

I gave up on politics a long time ago I just have very little interest, time or trust in politicians or politics, It's the equivalent of banging your head against a brick wall.

To me George Carlin hit the nail on the head when he said.
"Now, there's one thing you might have noticed I don't complain about: politicians. Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another reality. They come from American parents and American families, American homes, American schools, American churches, American businesses and American universities, and they are elected by American citizens. This is the best we can do folks. This is what we have to offer. It's what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out. If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're going to get selfish, ignorant leaders. Term limits ain't going to do any good; you're just going to end up with a brand new bunch of selfish, ignorant Americans.
So, maybe, maybe, maybe, it's not the politicians who suck. Maybe something else sucks around here... like, the public. Yeah, the public sucks. There's a nice campaign slogan for somebody: 'The Public Sucks"

The fact that this is the point that people are asking this question surprises me the most - He should have been given the cut a long time ago, in my opinion.

It might be my imagination or hindsight but the quality of politicians seems to have declined since three party politics went by the wayside and we went back to a two man system.

That will be a reference to the utterly pointless London Garden Bridge scheme will it? Perhaps it is a reference to the cross-Thames cable car? Or even the water cannon scheme.

Absolutely everything that Bonker Boris did, allegedly for London, was a stupid, wasteful vanity project - the man was an absolute disgrace then and is even more so now on the world stage.

Well to be honest if anyone here voted conservatives then ultimately you have to hold your hand up and put your head down in shame, as you are partly responsible :)

I'd rather be responsible for Boris being Foreign Secretary than potentially electing a Pacifist Socialist as Prime Minister in the midst of a struggling economic recovery and poor relations with Russia.
