Is it worth changing to a water meter?

Whats your Council tax band ?

Your water bill is based on the 1991 property rateable valuation, which basically can be tied in with what band Council tax you now pay which affects how much your water bill is. Also some water companies bills in places like Cornwall are much higher than average.

On the news this morning it was stated that unless you live in Wales you can appeal if you think your paying more CT than your neighbour for a similar property.

Apparently one bloke did & he had his property re evaluated which resulted in his being CT being unaltered but the other 40 residents had theirs increased :eek: bet he was popular :p
 
Meter all the way, i have 2 kids bath every day, washing machine on every day probably 3 or 4 showers a day, marine aquarium water changes so quite a heavy water user .... changed to a water meter last year and saved loads of £££
