Tempted to get the T1 Traffic add on for my Navman F20.

Not a huge investment at around £60 as its subscription free. Just wanted to find out if they were much good or not?

On the Navman website it says this-
The Navman T1 Traffic Pack uses RDS-TMC (Radio Data System - Traffic Message Channel), the international standard for traffic information delivery to GPS satellite navigation devices.

Any opinions would be great, thanks.

it's pretty cool to have, my instructors car had it, and it was useful for the pass plus, but it detects and diverts route a little to soon imo. and sometimes gives out of order routes.

Does this update the UK roads for the F20? Looking on the Navman website dosent seem to have a "Download Updated Roads For Your F20" button :p

I have the N60I with the T1. I get it to tell me about incidents, the detour distance suggested, then I choose whether or not to accept it.

I have found it to be invaluable whilst driving.

I am currently using the supplied internal aerial which works fine most of the time but, considering running an amp and splitter on the main radio aerial in the future.

Bear in mind if your car has a heated or athermic front screen, then reception may be compromised with the standard aerial.

Chap at work has a TMC with his OEM satnav, and it works really well, something which is lacking seriously lacking in my tomtom.

Thanks for the input. I don't do that many long journeys but to be honest thats part of the reason I want one, I don't really know where the traffic blackspots are or how bad they can be. I'm only really considering it as its subscription free as I will use it once or twice a month tops.

Think I might keep my eyes peeled for a decent priced one and go for it.

I've got the TMC addon for the Kenwood and as above really - can be useful but don't treat it as gospel. Seeing as it's non subscription though you can't lose imo. If I had to pay for it I'd probably think twice tbh..
