Is it wrong to get excited about an operation?

9 bloody weeks for an ultra sound?

Just storm into a maternity unit and hijack one.

Good thinking Batman :D I hope they use excessive amounts of gamma rays and stuff because look at Dr David Bannerman. He became amazing
If I start taking a liking for weakly stiched tartan shirts and plum coloured trousers that are too small then watch out. :)

I was taken into hospital on Friday for investigation, and after having an ultrasound and a CT scan done it seems I've a 5mm kidney stone stuck in my Ureter causing back pressure on one of my kidneys.

I spent most of the day being told I was going to be given an op, but they changed their mind and sent me home with some pills in the hope it'll move naturally, though if I start to feel worse it's straight back to hospital and operation time.

I can't say I look forward to the prospect of having some surgical apparatus shoved up the end of my 'gentleman sausage' and threaded up into my kidney, so I'm drinking gallons of water and praying the stone will shift on it's own...

What makes this most annoying is I was supposed to start a new job Monday, and had a flight booked to Glasgow where I was going to be training - I hope my prospective employer remains understanding until I'm sorted, but they wanted someone who could start the job quickly - this problem really did come out of the blue.

My new medication ..... Yeeeeeeharrrrrr

I thought I was going in to be sliced open last week but it just turned out to be a consultation with the plastic surgeon. I was then prescribed Gabapentin by my doc and they are the best pain killers I've ever been on :D My hand is still sore but the side effects are ace.
Chilled out (although my hand is still sore but I can bear it now).
I stagger when I walk (which I find funny as hell).
My speech is slurred.
My vision is blurred.

Hehehehehehehehehehe .... I love being ill

8 years ago I was extremely excited and eager for consultants to operate on me because I was laying in hospital for four days with a complicated fracture to my tibia.
