Is jailbreaking worth IT?

Does Jailbraking affect battery life much at all? SBSettings sounds good.... I can't imagine all those extra widgets in the standby screen help much tho...
Some say they think it does but its not proven. More so people using winterboard say it does so stay away :]

For some reason I am feeling like my battery is going down quicker per day on my iPad in the last week or two. But i've been jailbroken for at least a month now so it must be me imagining it :S

The main advantage is being able to steal stuff plain and simple.:o

I've never jailbroken mine as I think stealing a 99p game is cretinous.

Well if you want to ignorantly ignore all the other advantages of jailbreaking then all the more power to you. :)

For the me the main advantage is free, wireless internet tethering, though there's a lot more I get out of it, funnily enough downloading free apps (that are on the official store) is only a minor plus point to me.

Jailbroken iOS > Android > Standard iOS

Here are two websites/links I like, should be able to help you or anyone for that matter.

I find I use less battery since I jailbroke as I can now disable my wifi with a simple swipe of my finger, at night or whenever I don't need it.

By doing this I found out that I could save about 4% battery at night time, so I would only use 1%.

sbsettings, snaptap, ifile, user agent faker and multicleaner are nice to name a few.

This would obviously depend on what apps/addons you install as to if it would effect your battery much.

I have an iphone4.
