IS MIRACLE/FAIITH HEALING POSSIBLE??

Back in Nigeria there were miracle healers everywhere in little corrugated huts and my Dad took loads of pictures of their boards with what they could do on them. I always sniggered at the 'Cures sickness of the penis' ones.

This thread is ridiculous, the whole point of a miracle is that it cannot be explained. Soon it will start in you all trying to disprove the existence of God.

I see a lot of these so called faith healers on tv and I do not believe in them, well, most of them, especially the evangelical crazed americans and the africans asking "pledge £250 and we guarantee you a miracle", but I am Christian and believe in my beliefs.

I used to teach someone on computers that used to heal with her hands. And around the same time me and the ex shared an experience which changed me forever. I'm not going to go into it all now but i'll just say that I used to be very sceptical about it all but am now very much a believer :) I'm not even going to try and convince people here because when people used to try and convince me I would be like "yeah, gotta see/feel it to believe it".

You sound like a believer (pardon me if you aint). Do you think miracles can regrow an amputated limp? (even though Jesus put back the ear of someone chopped off)

I would people would stop going on about this - it never happened. It was just an ellaborate game of 'got your nose'.

In fairness, any eyewitness report of a miracle should be considered evidence. It's just a fairly weak form of evidence, and must be weighed against the evidence that miracles don't exist.

To say that there is no evidence for miracles whatsoever would be foolish in the extreme.

So are you saying miracle do exist then?

I must admit ElRazur that you are not a 'normal' Nigerian.
Nigerians usually worship and believe in all sorts of supernatural nonsense and you've got away from this.
I nearly got beat up for taking a picture of a Juju tree because I captured its spirit and I had to destroy the film.
I bet you don't even scam people with emails saying you've got 15 million in funds :D
I do congratulate you for having your own mind.

Nah, as a matter of fact, people back home thinks i am crazy and possesed by a demon for saying there is no God and i get punished for it.

Im just the type that likes to ask loads of question and seriously doubt what people beleive especially if it dosent seem to have any basis.

As per you getting beat up for the photo thing, similar thing happened to me, me and my cousin went fishing in a prohibited area - as it is believed to be a no go area (only for the "gods") and even if you catch and cook the fish, it wont be cooked apparently. Anyway to cut a long story short we did, ate the damm fish and we went boasting about.....before you know it, my dad was ordered to give/offer a white Ram so as to appease the gods  ...I mean WTF.

You know, my village back home have Gold as one of it natural resources so technically i should be rich! :D Watch out for the email from El, asking for a payment to be sent to a paypal account for a cut in them gold back home!! :D

Who performed that miracle?, Do you think growing back an amputated limb should be of no issue to him, cuz he did put back (somehow) motor neuron in the boys leg, right?

Its possible and does exist ;) Whether you believe it or not! I dont think its relevant for someone to chuck the proof in your face so you can make up a reason to say its fake. If youre heart is open you believe and see, if not...well you dont lol

I dont think its an issue for God no! Who performed it, if you want to get technical it was God, but through an Elim youth leader from Leeds ( if memory serves me right) I have many other exampls of miracles I have seen and experianced and even more I have heard from close friends/members of the church. Including some where limbs have grown. As in a young man from south africa had a condition where one leg was shorter than the other by a few inches, he was prayed for adn one leg grew to the same size as the other in a matter of seconds.

Hmm to em that soudns like your refusing to look at the other side of the story, you have foudn your one or two little sites and you think you have got the full picture, well done go you! I offered you a reference to a man who has had manybooks published about his various works and the best you can come back with is "i dont want to spend my precious time wading thro godsquad crap stories".

As for those who search for signs bit. 1)Keep looking 2) Look without bias or prejudgment, which TBH I think for you at this moment in time is pretty much impossible.
