Is MS Office license bound to the OS or mobo?

Just wondered as im thinking of upgrading my parents vista system to w7 and wondered if i could re-use the license for office as its the same system like you would with the OS.

Anyone know?

Retail student edition (3 licenses). I've used the other 2 though and im wondering if i'll be able to re-use this one after i've installed w7 on the same system. w7 will be an upgrade edition not retail by the way.

The licences are fully transferable as it's a retail licence. You can have it on any three machines you own as long as it's only three
