Is my 3hr old Dell 2407 broken already?

Howdy,

I had 2 Ultrasharp 2407's delivered this morning - great.

After 3hrs of casual use (standby, out of standby etc). I get this on one of the panels. Now I don't think is is card related, as if I change inputs, then go back to DVI it clears. Leave it a bit and it comes back.

Is it a duff monitor, cos if it is I don't really want to phone DELL for a replacement. I need another brand spanking new one, as this is only a few hours old! From my experience you never know if the new one the manufacurer sends you is actaully new.

Just get a return from the store you bought it from, no need to deal directly with Dell unless you bought it from them. You can always check in the menus to see if the replacement is new, somewhere in the sub menus it lists the no. of hours of use.
