LOL @ The cases made of razor blades comment - that seemed to be the true not many years ago, nevermind back in the 486 days.

I hated those horrible heatsinks that had the stubborn clips where you'd end up using a screwdriver to fit them on - I ended up with dried blood on my mobo thanks to a careless slip there. :(

Hrm not a good idea? I suppose worst case, I can hang on til Feb/March. Just getting the upgrade "itch" is all.
 
I thought I'd have to upgrade my 4890 after moving up res from 1680 x 1050 to 1920 x 1200 but it still plays all the games I play fine (TF2, CODMW2, COD BO, MOH, Just Cause 2, HL etc.)
 
yeah i just moved from a 1440x900 display to a 23in 1920x1080 and its ploughed through everything still!.....such a fantastic card
