Im using a e6600@3gb with a asrock 650i sli MoBo, the sli slots are only 8x instead of the single slot having 16x both are PCEI 2 but in WaW I seem to be getting less FPS then I did with the single card

any help would be great

Thanks Dave

Getting less FPS than a single card would indicate a problem with the SLI profile for that game/program or the game not liking SLI.

3gig isn't going to hold back an 8800GT SLI much if at all in gaming, tho might a bit in benchmarks. Same for the x8 ports, they don't really hold the 8800GT SLI setup back much if at all except at very high res/settings which the 8800GT SLI setup isn't really suited to anyhow due to the lack of VRAM.

The nVidia drivers have profiles for each game in the drivers which should be automatically enabled - aside from enabling it you usually shouldn't have to do anything. But its possible the drivers you have, have a corrupt or incorrect profile for a game.

Or your forcing SLI mode on in a certain mode i.e. AFR instead of letting the drivers choose.
