I thought as such. I needed reassurance that the idea I was reading was actually what I thought I was reading.

actually to be fair he did say repeatedly that he didn't think the matrix was real he was using it as a metaphor/allegory.
 
He also said the Freemasons invented cannabis and then advertised it on TV to make people do a bad deed by smoking it. Thus, making people do bad deeds so as to make them go to hell.
 
I think you need to take 3 minutes and go get yourself a MAC10.

When you have procured your 3 minute machine gun, I suggest you empty the magazine into your friends head (and a few rounds in his arse, just to make sure) and put him out of his misery.

Save a few rounds for yourself while your at it.....

I have very little idea about the crap that your friend was spouting apart from the Matrix bit strangely enough. I don't agree with what he was saying and am in no way religious but sort of see where he is coming from, although where he is going is a complete mystery.

I think he is trying to compare life with the existence in the Matrix (from the film) and heaven with escape from the Matrix (ignoring the state of earth outside of the Matrix in the film). He is saying there is temptation like the lady in red and drugs etc which is holding us in the Matrix (in life) and not letting us escape and free our minds (rise to heaven on our death).

Clearly a very confused person.....

With the bit about the Masons producing p0rn and making him masturbate.... What are they doing ? Sitting in front of him and slapping his face every time he refuses or tying his hands to sticks and playing him like Pinocchio :eek::).

Unfortunately he seems like, from the info provided, a person who is unwilling to take responsibility for his life and actions and so blames others, real, mythical or God like.

No, I don't think your friend is a moron. If animals are managed then so are we. It's realising this that makes you a little less enslaved than the rest. Reality is only what we are told it is.
