Is my poor 3870 comming to the end of its life?

Got a different monitor to try, or/and a different cable? (It could be the monitor on the way out.. so try wiggling/shaking gently as well).

Tried wiggling the cable to see if anything on the screen flickers?

Ive changed the cable today and now the waiting game again to see if it happens again. If it does happens, I'l just try turning monitor off and on and see if that fixes it, If so I'll be returning the monitor as Ive only had it since xmas

Is Christmas when this issue started? hmmm

yeah, a few weeks after I changed my screen,,, So it could be down to this monitor. But you wouldn't get the scrambled look if it was, would you?

I have now connect the monitor up with a dvi to hdmi cable, so that means I should have sound from the monitor, but my 6950 says no audio connected?

Well guys,, no more dodgey screen mess ups since changing the cable and also been doing about 6hrs of gaming too.

So fingers and toes crossed that it was the cable.
