is my PSU giving its full 750W?

so any suggestions? aiming for a 650w, 750 would be nice, and only 550 if its exceptionally good, dont really wanna spend over £100.

Try stick to overclockers or amazon for buying. (amazon are actually surprisingly cheap for trustworthy and decent parts.)

To be honest, with a sub-£200 graphics card you don't really need a PSU over 500W unless you plan to go SLI/Crossfire - just make sure you get a good quality one.

The problem with that ace black "750W" wasn't that it was "only" 750W, but that it was very low quality (so poor voltage regualtion, high ripple and low efficiency), couldn't reliably delivery anywhere near that power and would most likely explode if you tried to put it under serious load.

On the low cost end this Corsair CX 430W would be plenty to power your GTX 550Ti card and it gets good reviews (see here).

If you want to spend a bit more then this 500W PSU with modular cables is a good option.

If you really want to spend some money - then the Corsair TV 650W v2 suggested by Justintime is a very nice unit. Though you only really need to go for one like this if you have firm plans to upgrade your graphics card to a high-end on in the future.

well i got this card as diablo 3 is literally in a couple days, ill be building a full build soon (when i have money, end of the month) so ill be wanting to carry this psu over to that build.
getting case, motherboard and processor, then when i need a new card again, ill be upgrading, so basically the reason for the 650ish psu is to future proof.
