Hey, i have been overclocking my Q8300 recently and trying to get as much as i can out of it. I have got it to around 3.1GHz stable and any further and it crashes. I have just been increasing the FSB and the Voltages to get this overclock. The FSB is at 410 and the voltage is around 1.40.

I have 5G of PC - 5400 DDR2. Is this not allowing me to overclock any further???

Also not sure what to set the DRAM Freq or FSB to north bridge strap to.. As i know when increasing the FSB it increases the RAM speed also. Can i set the RAM at a certain speed and just increase the CPU speed??? Sorry not experienced in overclocking:(

I have an ASUS P5QL Pro mb

Thanks in advance :)

I have just been playing around an set the FSB to 415, FSB strap to NB to 400GHz and left DRAM freq at Auto and i have got it stable.

Not even sure if this is the correct way but it seems to be stable with Prime95.
