Is now the time to upgrade?

Hi all,

Have been running a 4690k (Oc'd), 1070ti (Previously a 970) 16gb RAM etc. for 18 months now.

I appreciate for more modern games, my CPU is the weak point.

I mainly play FPS and am currently really enjoying MW - averaging around 80+ fps on decent settings, which i'm ok with.

Upgrading last year to a 1070ti allowed me to run 1440p, which when added to a decent GSYNC monitor seemed like a massive and worthwhile upgrade for me.

Is the investment in a new rig likely to provide me with that same "wow" factor?

If so, any advice on which way to go? I'm an Intel and NVIDIA slave, so I don't think i can move away from these brands.

Any tips greatly appreciated.

Check your CPU usage in games.

Now is not the time to be upgrading your GPU but AMD are the best bang for the buck in CPUs. Ryzen 3600 or 3700, 16 GB DDR4-3600, B450 or X570 motherboard, job done.
