Hi. I was quite happy with mi 3850 until i registered with metaboli, they have loads of games, many of them old. I like old games and some of them are totally new to me since this is my first gaming pc ever
Then i discovered that for some strange reason Ati cards do not scale the image properly when playing low resolution games. There is no way to fix the aspect ratio to the originals so i have to play them stretched, fitting all the screen.
I can not even play the games at 1:1 with centered timings, this option is in the catalyst it wont work, god only knows why.
Even considering i am really happy with the 3850 if i had known this in advance i would have gotten a nvidia card instead of an Ati.
Now i am trying to look for ways to fix this. What about installing a nvidia card and an ati card in the same computer? I could use the analog input in the screen for the nvidia card and keep the dvi for my 3850.
Will it work?
