I'm after a new boot drive and 500gb is plenty for my needs and the 970 M.2 at £110 seems like the best bet even compared to other Samsung SATA drives. There is the Crucial MX500 at £75 but with much less performance than the M.2. I'm not terribly clued on SSDs though so i dont know if the M.2 is worth the extra in real world use.

    Thanks

The 970 is an nvme where as I don’t think the mx500 is at that price if it’s a 500gb model, name is much faster and usually Samsung are crowned king of the drives if some cases, so it does seem like a cracking price right now compared to what it’s reduced from, don’t think you will find better for that money.

It's a pretty decent price at the moment. I installed mine last night. Samsung Migration didn't work for me but Macrium reflect did the job. Seems very cheap when the 1TB is £250+
