A mate claims that only 4000 of the Mini Cooper S JCWs were made worldwide and you can't actually buy them. I was just wondering if this is true?

Sounds like rubbish tbh.

The GP version just released was limited edition with carbon fibre and all sorts, but the regular JCW was just a pack that could be bought with the cooper s.

According to mini.co.uk they only made 2000 and they are now out of production. (this refers to the GP version)

Seen one of the new ones today with some 19 year old bird driving it, looks a bit halfords if you ask me, its quite nice but isnt it about 3k more and all it does is shaves 0.4 seconds of 0-60

Car has a limited slip diff, different suspension and unique wheels, stripped interior with strut brace and remapped engine giving more power.

yeah hes thinking of the Mini Cooper S GP Works as pictured above

the normal S works is just a bunch of brochure options. You can just take the bodykit stuff, or you can just take the tuning stuff, or whatever takes your fancy.

The GP works on the other hand was a special limited edition model and you either bought that model or didnt, theres was no "pick and choose" factory option list, like the normal John Cooper S Works Kit.
