Is the Nebula digi tv really the best?

Hi I recently went from a Compro dvbt200 to a Nebula digitv.
Unfortunately I havent had it working properly as there is a sata issue with my motherboard.
But I had it running when I was using IDE hard drives and it ran flawlessly, timeshifts without a delay unlike my Compro, records straight away without break ups and the interface is rather nice, I can also record one channel and watch the other, or even record upto more than one channel provided its on the same multiplex!
However because of the sata problem i'm thinking of changing it - but is there any TV card out there to rival the Nebula? Something thats as stable as the Nebula or should I just keep this and upgrade to a new mobo that doesnt have the sata issue?

I've been using a Nebula in my HTPC for nigh on 2 years now and it's been excellent,I'm not sure what this sata issue is that you've experienced,I would assume its motherboard related though and not a Nebula problem, then again I'm only using IDE drives in my HTPC so I can't be sure, but I've not read of any such problems on the Nebula forums.

If you can sort the sata problem out then Its worth sticking with the Nebula as you won't find a better freeview tuner on the market imo,it's also possible to buy slave tuners now which are roughly half the price of a master and provide dual tuner functionality.

I recently heard that black gold produced nearly the same quality of digitial tuner to Nebula, however after investing in one I am not that impressed especially for over £60 , but its very difficult to tell wether that was MCE causing problems or the hardware

Nebula had got a very highly regarded name

are you using a nf2 MB from memory there was a knowed issue with the card and the nf2 mb (tho as far as i remember the usb ver is ok)

if you are using a nf2 mb i never found a fix and eneded upgrading to a nf3 mb

I'm running a Nebula USB Master & Slave tuners
The software is currently going through a major revamp, it's just finished betaing and is on RC1 now. (Version 3.5)

The v3.5 Beta has been a bit flakey with the Slave tuners & it's taken ages to get to the RC1 stage, having said that, the bug's seem to get ironed out eventually which a lot more than you can say for hauppauge

Btone yes iam using a nf2 mobo - ive decided to upgrade my cpu and mobo - getting a ASROCK Dual - this will not cause any problems surely?
I know to outside people it might seem crazy to upgrade cpu/ram just to get a digitv card working but I had this running on my IDE drives and it is truly an amazing piece of kit - it does everything flawlessly when it works and I've sampled the best now I cant go back lol.
