My Asus TUF monitor says it supports HDR, but when I enable it the colours look horrendous and the display looks pale. As I understand it, it's because it only supports HDR300 and this isn't real HDR. Is there a monitor on the market (27") that if I was to enable HDR, would actually have bright colours, good brightness, good blacks etc and yield the benefits of enabling HDR in games ?

First off make sure you are using Windows 11 and have used the Windows HDR calibration tool as that makes a big difference. Unfortunatley there is no Windows 10 version.

Best options for good HDR and good blacks is either a Mini LED or OLED screen.
Yeah thanks - I get the impression I've got to go OLED to have a proper experience with it.
