Hi!

Thankyou for taking time to read this thread, anyway.

I've just got into a business and basically need a site designing (the company sells imported cars, professionally mechanic checked)

Im useless at html and photoshop :p so was wondering if anyone would be so kind to design a site for me?

i would hire a profressional designer, but im poor right now :(

Thanks in advance.

First things first, what do you want from it?

  • A small site of static pages?
  • An updatable one by yourself?

Also, does the business currently have a corporate style and branding already?

I'd be willing to help along the way, but I've got quite a bit of coursework for the next week.

Thanks for your reply!

I'd like to update through time (to add cars for sale, remove ones that are for sale), well, right now, we actually got handed a few cars to sell (the whole thing has moved along a lot quicker than planned so suddenly been put into a rush myself)

In that case it'll be quite complex in a sense. A content manangement system such as wordpress could be used quite well, the learning curve for what you'd need to do wouldn't be too much, and you could simply add images and a description when it came to it.

Are you planning to sell the cars on the internet or just show them for prospective buyers to go to your forecourt and have a look? :)

Both of course :)

I dont mind abit of a learning curve

You can set something up for yourself very quickly and for free:

http://www.weebly.com/

This would be a good place to start, and gives you opportunity to develop the content. Sometime later you could go for a professional design service, and you will have much of your content already.

Just a thought!

i don't think you will get something like that for free

the only one I can think of is Joomla, and there's a plugin for car management (not free)
