Is there a mouse better than the Logitech MX518?

I have used the G500 for about 30 minutes, I am now back to the MX518... I love the MX518 that I don't think I will like any other mouse. :(

It is lovely to use, problem I have is for my gaming the MX518 tends to feel better, doesn't stutter when lifting the mouse off the table slightly which I sometimes do when playing FPS games, and I could not get used to it. I will use my MX518 at home, however the G500 will be used as a normal mouse for my other PC.

Used a MX518 for years as a dedicated FPS gamer but switched to a Deathadder a few months ago. The Deathadder is a bit smaller in your hand and looks much cooler, I think.

Both great mice though. Probably the two best you can get. As someone else said the MX518 is nicely priced too.

One of the Zowie mice would be an "upgrade" if that's what you need. Although I doubt they're worth twice the price of a 518. Still, it's an upgrade ;)

Firstly, it's subjective. That's the most important point.

Secondly, I have both an MX-518 and a Razer Naga, which is specially designed for MMOs. I think the Razer was a good upgrade in every way over the Logitech, but that's just my opinion.

I never look into the specs/brand of a mouse too much. Aslong as its not a ball mouse, its how comfy it feels is the most important. Prefer smaller compact designs.

I think I will need to stick with optical still, Zowie are great mice, I am tempted to go with them, and just give it a go. :)

I think it uses the same sensor as the 518, but with a different lense - could be wrong! Either way I know Zowie mice are becoming popular among competitive FPS gamers.
