Stop trying to look popular by adding everyone and anyone and you wouldn't have this problem in the first place.

wasn't trying to look popular - added people from school when was at school, and uni and various jobs and just need to sort it out now have a new job...

I don't think you can delete more than 1 at a time. Ignore all the re-install facebook posts, it's just the geek humour coming out on here

It's quite simple. Go to your home page, and then click the 'Account' button in the top right, a drop down menu should appear and click 'Account settings'. There should be an option near the bottom that says 'Defragment', another that says 'Reinstall'. Click the defragment one first, but if that doesn't work, reinstall it.

But whatever you do, don't click the 'deactivate account' button!

Or you can do it how Andelusion says, if you opted for the 'full' installation when you first started using Facebook.
