Well it was blunt enough and although there are a few Dons who might make such a statement I thought I'd seen you online that day. I reckon it would be the right call though at least until the fad dies down again.

Facebook is magic! It just reads your mind and deletes everyone you'd like it to without any info inputted at all!

For Facebook to be able to achieve such a task it would need a defining statement. Such as: Delete friends I haven't spoken to in 3 months.

Or

Delete friends in this group "group name"

Hope you get the idea. Otherwise, an actual useful tip might be mouse3'ing each delete button of the person. It should run the script and not interrupt the page - refresh once you're done deleting and MAGIC.
