It's pretty much the same car as I have (Regular Cupra with extra stick on tat), except that the only you posted is 2 years older, has the Cupra R alloys, leather, and is £600 cheaper.
The Cupra R is slightly faster than the Cupra (but not by loads), but also has better handling and brakes etc. It's also only one insurance group higher (Cupra 20VT is IG16 Cupra R is 17 I believe). The 20VT is slightly more economical than the R.
I've only been driving for a week and my Cupra is the only sporty car I've driven so I can't really tell you how it compares to other similarly priced cars. But I've found it a piece of cake to drive. It has quite a bit of power (obviously I'm not the best judge of this though). I haven't had any scary moments yet because if you push it too hard it just understeers very gently and as soon as you back off it's fine. Also looking at the service history it's been a fairly cheap car to service and not much has gone wrong.
