Is this a good price for Mission M72s?

way to expensive, iv seen the floor standers go for £100 on ebay, I would pay no more the £50-£60 for a mint set.

You can buy far better second hand speakers then them for the money though.

Silly question, but what's special about floor standers? I'm assuming they're not just a set of speakers with stands..

is the same price (£139) for a Marantz SR6200 AV amp too much too, do you know?

The M72 is a bookshelf speaker, designed to sit on a book shelf or ideally a set of speaker stands.

The M73 is floorstander, it needs no such stand as you can see, it also produces deeper bass due to its size.

I have owned the m73s for 4 years now very good speakers for the price which was £200 new. So the m72s are overpriced. The amp looks good for £139 if in good condition.

I got some M72s from ebay, they were in mint condition and cost me £60. They are fantastic speakers and work very well with my cheap Cambridge A1 amp

They were RRP £180, and £160ish in box shifting stores brand new in 2001 when they were first released. I wouldnt pay more than £80 for a set in mint condition, including all the packaging and manuals etc. £40-£60 for 'good-excellent' seems around right to me.

That model is long discontinued.

Therefore rare, so becoming more expensive?!

Only if they were exceptional in the first place. Not everything becomes a collectors item. Doubt the M72's are that 'rare' as they were a mass produced budget range, not one of the higher priced exclusive ranges.
