Most of that is on XS  . Where you know what they do, Overclock like mad, do volt-mods etc etc. Since the Intel Bad Axes were one of the first to support Conroe, no wonder a few of them blew up at XS, since they were the only ones being used at the time

Its a few more than a 'few', just about all the big name overclockers have had it, a lot of meidocre overclockers with unmodded boards and stock voltages all rev 304 boards, it cant be proven that there is a problem atm, but with the ASUS performing very well, is there really much point in risking it?

Seriously guys its not bad at all. I read up on the problem and it sometimes happens when going for more than 2.2v through the RAM. The voltage regulators can't hack it and pop, sometimes taking the RAM with them.

Unless your going to be running largish volts through your RAM then this will not be a problem for you.

Just read that thread...

I now feel sorry for all the people who are so impatient they ordered a Bad Axe before waiting for more of the boards available.

Unless they can send them back that is :)

Pointless to say the least! No one needs a 900w PSU unless they're going quad sli. The PC2-6400 HZ uses the same ic's as the 8000, so its effectively the same stuff but half the price.

just found out that the p5w dh doesn't support conroe out of box m8 unless you have a spare 775 lying about.
