Is this a hash job? Kitchen worktops

Nope, we haven't paid.

He was recommended to us by good friends who have used him on their reno but he's just a handyman, so with hindsight we're now wondering how experienced he is with kitchens. He was half the price of the builders we're using for everything else but he took ages and the end result is, well, that.

And yes, he did have a jig...

A handyman recommended by friends but not specifically in relation to kitchen fitting...Russinating I fear for your common sense.

Friends as in people doing a reno who have used him for various jobs including hanging doors, skirting etc, not a friend of a friend. And they're as much of a perfectionist as I am.

I guess I had too much faith in people only taking on jobs they could complete competently.

Sucks to be him though. We haven't paid and we're just going to take off however much it costs to fix from his bill. Our builders, who are competent, are taking a look tomorrow.
