Is this actually *that* impressive? (David Blaine)

Well he is a lot better at magic tricks than Jesus ever was. At least David Blaine could prolly Houdini escape from a crucifixtion, which turned out to be far too difficult a trick for Jesus to pull off and it unfortunately killed him.

RIP Magical Jesus :(

give me the money that he has earnt and i will stand on broken glass for 72 hours.

This is actually very easy to do. You can even jump up and down on it.

Derren Brown did it on his first stage show, I was a little disappointed given it's basic physics as to why you don't cut your feet open.

Well some people are easily fascinated by magic tricks, mostly children.

He hasn't done anything for ages so I suppose he had to do a comeback and up the antsy.

While he was interesting in the early days, I find his whole aloofness annoying. It would be far more interesting to learn about what he experienced doing these stunts if he was a bit more personable, instead he just comes off as an oddball.

I genuinely only realised you weren't talking about bhav when I read the word 'stunts'.

I'd also add that when Blaine started these stunts, it was during the time that reality shows of watching other people also began and peaked. Back in 2002, a tv channel I'm sure would have covered it and had an Internet feed. The reality is that novelty has gone these days, nobody cares, regardless of who it is.

I will put a disclaimer here though that if you put Justin Bieber in a box, then I'm sure prepubescent girls would be glued to it 24/7.

Yeah, let's insult many OCUK members in one statement.
Sometimes you are a **** or you just don't think before you type.

Seriously? I meant no offense at all by that post. People are far too easily offended!

I thought the Jesus comparison would have gotten more hate, you know they both walked on water and did other tricks.

A lot of children love magic tricks, and so do some adults. Is that a better way of saying it?

How come no one gets so offended when people here insult anyone who enjoys anime or any other past time?
