Is this board ivy ready Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3?

It will be fine for the i5 2500k or ivy bridge however you may as well go for a newer Z77 motherboard at the same price which will also be fine for both chips: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-390-GI&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=2261

board you suggest is well **** as it dont even support 1866 memory... any better ones pls. ta

You actually need 1866Mhz? z77s support 1600mhz native just so you know...

From the product description of the board:

Support for DDR3 2400(OC)/1600/1333/1066 MHz memory modules

In other words it supports up to 1600MHz as standard just like any Ivy Bridge board (since that is the Intel maximum standard memory frequency of the memory controller on these Ivy Bridge CPU), but if you are willing to overclock the memory controller then the board supports up to 2400MHz.
