Hi guys. Going to treat myself to a new gaming pc as mine is not cutting it at the moment and I want to have a system that will play all todays games and future ones like BF4 with no problems AT ALL and will keep me going for the forseeable future.
I have used the system configurator and have come up with this below. Budget is between £1250-£1450. If you guys have any suggestions as to any parts I should change please say below. But just mainly wanting to know is this a worthy build for a gamer like me, before I purchase.
Thanks guys!!!

Intel Core i7 3770K 3.50GHz Ivybridge Quad Core CPU
Akasa Nero 3 V2 Premier CPU Cooler - Up to Stage 2 Overclock

Unless you are looking to upgrade to an SLI configuration in the future this would be my selection. Only a couple of minor changes but they will improve performance

OcUK Gamer X60i Intel Z87 Mid-Tower - Gaming PC Configurator

Stage 1 Intel: Overclock of CPU - 4.2GHz Overclock - K Edition Processors Only
Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail
Prolimatech Panther CPU Cooler (Socket 1155 / 1150 / 1156 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2)
Gigabyte Z87-D3HP Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard
TeamGroup Vulcan RED 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLD38G2133HC11ADC01)
KFA2 GeForce GTX 780 3072MB PCI-Express Graphics Card (78NNH5DN00G0) with FREE GPU Keyring
Toshiba SSD HG5D Series THNSNH 7mm 60GB Solid State Hard Drive - (THNSNH060GCST)
Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DM003) HDD
OcUK 20x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM
Corsair 2013 Edition Gamer Series GS 600W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (CP-9020063-UK)
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-Bit - OEM (GFC-02050)

£1,251.57
£1,501.88 inc VAT

That's Haswell i7 4770K rather than Ivybridge, with 2133MHz memory rather than 1600MHz. Clock for clock Haswell outperforms Ivybridge and it has the added benefit of a better memory controller which is why we recommend 1866Mhz+ for most Haswell users.

Thanks for this man. I did think about maybe going SLI in the future, but thought not much point, by time i finish paying this off the newest set of cards wouldve come out :p. I havent the best knowledge in pc specs, but just about understand the basics. I have just put it in my basket and will purchase shortly.
Thanks again :D

I know it's a little too late but a bigger SSD would have been beneficial. I'm guessing it's for your OS?? If so after a few updates you'll soon fill it up. I bit the bullet when I was building my PC and went for a 120gb SSD and I'm glad I did, less than a year after having it and it was over half full. Sorry to put a bit of a downer on your purchase.

Whilst it helps the sales of larger SSD's immensely, so I probably shouldn't say this but, too many people have too much static data sitting on their primary partition.

Just by moving downloads to a secondary drive and doing a quick disk clean up every couple of months you'll keep the partition small and efficient.

Yes 60 gb SSD will only allow your OS, not to hold your games and thats where ssd's are the most benefit for your games id concat OC im sure they will be happy to help you out and change it. i have the same sort of set up and wish i had a bigger SSD which is for sure my next upgrade

By downloads do you mean OS updates?
